TNT Orders Further 100 Newton Electric Trucks from Smith EV

Smith Electric Vehicles is able to release details of part of its existing order book following an event held by one of its customers. TNT has publicly announced that in addition to the 50 vehicles ordered last year, it has ordered a further 100 Newton electric trucks from Smith.
The Smith Newton is the world´s largest electric truck, providing a top speed of up to 50mph, a payload of up to 7400kg and a range on one battery charge of up to 150 miles. Depends on battery typ: Choice of Lithium-Ion Iron Phosphate from Valence or Sodium Nickel Chloride Zebra Z5 from MES-DEA.
50 of which will be destined for the UK market and 50 of which will broaden the roll-out of the Smith vehicles in mainland Europe. TNT is a European market leader in global express, logistics and international mail services and has a fleet of 45,000 vehicles across Europe of which 3,500 is the UK vehicle fleet.
