(Quelle: A123Systems) Watertown, USA - Nach den Spekulationen in den letzten Tagen ist es nun offiziell, der Lithium-Ionen Batteriehersteller A123Systems hat heute den Erwerb des kanadischen Plug-in Hybrid-Umrüsters Hymotion angekündigt. Hymotion ist einer der führenden Anbieter von nachrüstbaren Plug-in Hybrid-Umrüstkits.

Diese so genannten Battery Range Extender Modules (BREMs) können einfach an dem für den Reservereifen vorgesehenen Platz angebracht werden. Mit den gegenwärtigen BREMs erreichen die so genannten Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) eine Reichweite von 100 oder mehr Meilen pro Gallone. Mit diesen umgerüsteten PHEVs wird durch die erhöhte Reichweite im rein elektrischen Fahrmodus nochmals eine erhebliche Verbrauchs- und CO2-Reduzierung erreicht.

The results show that biodiesel derived from rapeseed grown on dedicated farmland emits nearly the same amount of greenhouse gas emissions (defined as CO2 equivalents) per km driven as does conventional diesel. However, if the land used to grow rapeseed was instead used to grow trees, petroleum diesel would emit only a third of the CO2 equivalent emissions as biodiesel.

59. Bosch: Erster Serienauftrag für Hybridantrieb

(Quelle: Dow Jones Newswires) Stuttgart - Der weltweit größte Automobilzulieferer Bosch hat den ersten Serienauftrag für eine Fahrzeugplattform mit einem Benzin-Hybridantrieb erhalten. Der Serienstart soll für Ende 2008 geplant sein, um welchen Auftraggeber es sich dabei handelt wurde noch nicht verraten. Es wird jedoch vermutet, dass es sich um die SUV-Plattform für den VW Touareg, Porsche Cayenne und den Audi Q7 handeln wird.

Diese Information wurde auf der Bilanz-Pressekonferenz des Konzerns am Mittwoch von Bernd Bohr bekannt gegeben. Es handelt sich dabei um einen Voll-Hybrid-Antrieb, welcher im Gegensatz zum Mild-Hybrid auch über kurze Strecken ein rein elektrisches Fahren ermöglicht. Bis auf die Batterie kommen somit schon die wesentlichsten Komponenten des Hybridantriebs von Bosch selbst.
