enerdel_unveils_li-ion-battery-pack_hev(Source: EnerDel) Indianapolis - Ener1 concluded a Media Day on October 9, 2007 at its Indianapolis-based subsidiary, EnerDel. At the event, U. S. Congressman Dan Burton spoke to the media about the importance of the EnerDel technology to the country’s energy independence. Congressman Burton officially unveiled the fully functional Lithium-ion battery pack developed specifically for the HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) market.

Additional speakers offering their congratulations and commenting on the state of the technology and industry included David Lewis of Argonne National Laboratories and David Howell of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of FreedomCAR and Vehicle Technologies. The EnerDel engineering team completed the presentation with a technical overview of the battery technology.
